Keeping Enterprise Mobile Devices Secure

Although consumer-grade devices are becoming increasingly popular in enterprise businesses, when employees use their personal smartphones for business, there could be trouble.

In a recent study, 82% of large organizations reported security breaches caused by staff, with only 39% encrypting data downloaded to smartphones and tablets.

Rather than allowing staff to use their personal smartphones for work, which 75% of large organizations do, companies need to take the right measures, such as data encryption, or supplying corporate devices, to keep information secure.

    Would you need to encrypt data when your application is ” in the Cloud”?

    It depends on which cloud you are in… most cloud-based services automatically encrypt all network traffic and storage through RBAC controls.
