Manage Bluetooth Scanners with Intermec SD61

Intermec SD61If you use a lot of Bluetooth scanners, it can be hectic to keep track of them all. In order to help manage Bluetooth scanners, Intermec created the SD61, a secure connection (ISCP protocol) that bridges the gap between the host PC and up to seven Intermec Bluetooth scanners. With the SD61, users only need to scan the identifying barcode scanner in order to associate it to the station and host PC. In addition, the Intermec SD61 features:

  • Easy set up with no software installation
  • Ability to work up to 328 ft. away from base
  • Industrial grade ruggedness
  • Reliable wireless communication

Each wireless scanner connected to the SD61 can run independently with specific configurations, offering a great deal of flexibility to users.

GS1 and ISO Standards

gs1_isoThe GS1 provides standards for barcodes in addition to general business standards such as electronic messaging and data synchronization. The GS1 also provides training and support for the implementation of international standards.

The GS1 also works collaboratively with the ISO, or the International Organization for Standardization, which is the world’s largest developer of standards. The GS1 and ISO both share the same passion for the importance of global standardization. For this reason, many of the GS1’s standards are ISO-compliant and the GS1 has adopted many ISO standards such as identification, GS1 barcodes, electronic data interchange and RFID.
