Motorola has announced three enhancements to their industry leading RFID product line that will allow them to better meet the needs of businesses around the world. Motorola is broadening their solutions to meet the latest industry standards with the following RFID product enhancements:
European R1 Motorola MC9090-G Handheld RFID Reader Released
This new European version of the Motorola MC9090-G RFID handheld reader (pictured at left) is compliant with current ETSI 302 208 standards that are required throughout the European Union. Offering the same ergonomic and rugged design, the new R1 version also provides integrated RFID and barcode scanning and can switch to multiple channels to transmit 100% of the time.
Global Firmware Upgrade for XR Fixed RFID Readers
Motorola is integrating LLRP (Low Level Reader Protocol) into their family of XR fixed RFID readers so that users can easily implement them into existing RFID systems. This plug-n-play addition will make it simpler to modify and enhance pre-existing RFID systems. In addition, the readers will also be compliant with the ETSI 302 208 standard for users in the European Union. This firmware upgrade is available for the XR440, XR450 and XR480 (pictured above) and will be available for download from Motorola.
Motorola RD5000 Mobile RFID Reader Newly Certified in Asia
The Motorola RD5000 Mobile RFID reader (pictured at left) has recently been certified in Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong and Singapore and is expected to be certified in China and Taiwan before the end of the year.
